My Take on Portraits
When Chicago’s ONE Northside reached out to photograph their community leaders, I jumped at the chance. I’ve long admired their work, and I loved the idea of using these portraits to celebrate their leaders and bring that energy into their office.
I approach these portraits the same way I approach all my work: keep it real, keep it human, and let people be seen as themselves.
It was about honoring the people holding things together, organizing, advocating, and showing up for their communities.
Each leader received a print, and the work was also shown at the North Star Fundraiser, carrying that same spirit into the room.
